The Cardiophany is the Beginning of Charity…

LJB 7/26/12

Charity, as defined by the Catholic Catechism could not have existed before the first beat of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The true and full meaning of charity cannot be adequately conveyed in words nor represented through a single act or image. It must be demonstrated through a manifestation of Divine love and with the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is through the gospels that we first begin to see charity manifest itself through the life of Jesus. Jesus is the infinite expression of sacrificial love and master of charity, “for no slave is greater than his master, and no servant greater than his teacher.” Therefore, we must seek to understand charity at the point of its origin, at the first beat of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
